Medecins Sans Frontieres
We are Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF). We help people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare. All these situations call for a rapid response with specialised medical and logistical help. But, we also run longer-term projects, tackling health crises and supporting people where the need is greatest. We currently have projects running in over 60 countries.
As an MSF donor, you fuel the delivery of medical aid to the people who need it most, no matter where they are or whether they have hit the headlines. Your money pays for millions of consultations, operations, treatments and vaccinations every year. As an organisation, we work to spend your money in the most efficient way and to help those in greatest need.
MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. The judges chose MSF “in recognition of the organisation’s pioneering humanitarian work on several continents” and to honour our medical staff, who have treated tens of millions of people.
