Cancer Fund For Children Northern Ireland

Every week in Northern Ireland, 3 children, teenagers or young adults, aged 0-24 years old, will be diagnosed with cancer.

At Cancer Fund for Children, we understand the impact a cancer diagnosis, and its treatment can have on the whole family and that beyond essential medical care, there is a family life that needs to be rebuilt.

As Northern Ireland’s leading local charity for children and young people living with cancer, we provide a range of specialist support. Our team is here to listen and help families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives, and support them from diagnosis throughout treatment.

By supporting us, you will be making sure that families don’t have to face cancer alone.

We provide one-to-one support, therapeutic group support and sibling support, as well as short breaks at our therapeutic centre, Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co Down. We also provide financial grants to families to help towards the increased costs of living with cancer, and bereavement support, where families have lost a loved one. Cancer Fund for Children receives less than 0.5% of its income from government funding and relies almost entirely on the generosity of the local community to fund its work.
